AUTOMATION SYSTEM (FOR SOLID FUEL FIRED BOILERS)

Normally the water level inside the boiler is maintained by switching on/off of the feed water pump. This type of on/off system has high degree of limitation in attaining sudden load fluctuation; it becomes further more complex when cold water is pump in the boiler during surge load operations. To overcome such situation,Automatic drum level control system has been proved to be a technically acceptable option to maintain a steady drum water level

There are basically 3 types of drum level control systems in boilers i.e.

Single element drum level control-Thro level transmitter

Two elements drum level control-Thro level transmitter & Steam flow

Three elements drum level control-Thro level transmitter,Stem flow and water flow

  • FURNACE DRAFT CONTROL SYSTEM

Balance draught system is considered as the most efficient draught system provided it is visualized and maintained to a predetermined value. A right draught helps to limit the ingress of excess air & at the same time avoid backfiring. Unfortunately this type of adjustment is repetative and needs accurate damper adjustment which humanly can never be achieved. Thus a draught control system can be introduced to maintain the pre set draught inside the furnace. This system also helps in reducing the consumed load of the ID fan at part load and reduces particle carryover, thus decreasing the overall operational cost

  • COMBUSTION CONTROL SYSTEM

Maintaining the air fuel ratio at various loads in the boiler is the best way to maintain the boiler efficiency at optimum level.Combustion control system are offered to control the fuel as per load and there after controlling the required primary air

FUEL CONVERSION:

  • OIL TO SOLID FUEL CONVERSION:

To reduce the operational cost, existing oil fired boiler can be converted to a solid fuel fired boiler with external or integral furnace conversion depending on the space availability in the boiler house

UPGRADATION OF BOILERS/HEATERS:

  • FLUIDISED BED CONVERSION (FLUIDCON):

To convert conventional mode of firing to fluidized bed combustion

  • CAPACITY ENHANCEMENT ON BOILERS:

To increase the existing capacity of the boiler, with addition of few equipments

  • EFFICIENCY ENHANCEMENT IN HEATERS:

Efficiency and outlook both vcan be enhanced of existing solid fuel fired and thermic fluid fired heaters
